Four Michigan Startups Advance Toward $1 Million Final
PitchMI semifinal winners span robotics, water infrastructure, machining and healthcare education.

Common Vector Robotics, Motmot, OmegaCool and Ollivate will compete in the spring 2027 PitchMI Championship, MEDC announced October 5. Each company received a $425,000 initial investment through the semifinal competition, with an additional $1 million at stake in the final.
The businesses address different markets: rugged ground robotics, underwater water-main inspection, metalworking fluids and healthcare education. The range illustrates how Michigan startup activity reaches beyond a single industry or type of software.
An investment announcement is a signal to follow a company’s development, not proof of an open position or a procurement opportunity. Prospective employees and vendors should use company channels to determine whether there is a current need for their skills or services.
